THE CUSTOMER

Geothermie Holzkirchen GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the local utility of Holzkirchen, a town located on the south of Munich, in Bavaria, Germany.

THE NEED

The customer has initially projected to carry out a geothermal project in 2015 to feed the local grid with electric energy and serve households connected to the district heating network with clean thermal energy. A turnkey solution was needed by the customer (including equipment, control system of the power plant, construction at site, commissioning). Turboden has successfully agreed with Geothermie Holzkirchen GmbH in 2017 for the supply of the complete ORC geothermal power plant.

OUR SOLUTION

Turboden has supplied an ORC turbogenerator that exploits geothermal brine from a deep geothermal well for the production of electricity and heat for the district heating network. Turboden solution utilizes a double pressure level process, with its proprietary turbine, and air cooled condenser.
