Turboden ORC technology can be profitably and efficiently used to produce electric energy from waste to energy recovery processes. The power of Turboden turbo generators in this application ranges from 200 kW to 20 MW electric per single turbine.

Turboden solution in a Waste to Energy plant

HEAT TRANSFER FLUID: heat from biomass combustion is transferred to the ORC working fluid by means of an intermediate circuit. The medium is typically thermal oil, but can also be saturated steam, pressurized water or directly the ORC working fluid.

  • Solutions up to 20 MWe per single shaft with high electrical efficiency up to 30%
  • Heat input from gaseous, liquid and condensing streams starting from 150°C
