THE CUSTOMER

Uztransgaz is the Uzbek state-owned holding company mainly responsible for the transportation, import/export and sale of natural gas in the country.

THE NEED

The customer has chosen Turboden to supply green power to the gas compressor station of Hodzhaabad in order to cover the entire electrical consumption of the facility and thus to zero the import of electricity from the external grid, improving the environmental footprint of the transportation network.

OUR SOLUTION

Turboden designed, supplied an commissioned the entire ORC-based heat recovery system to exploit the exhaust gas available from 3 GE LM1600 gas turbines. The ORC unit is conceived as an assembly of containerized skids to simplify installation activities at site, and it is equipped with an air-cooled condenser, so that no water is needed to operate the system. ORC capacity is limited to 1 MWe to match the electrical demand of the facility.
