Virtual Event - Energy from Waste

01 December 2020

1st December 2020, 4pm GMT - Alessandro Bertacchini, Turboden Sales & Business Development Manager, will give a speech on "Decentralized Waste to Energy plants towards circular economy".

The rapid increase in the generation of municipal solid waste exerts considerable pressure on the conventional centralized MSW management system to evolve towards a more decentralized system with smaller capacity waste treatment facilities.

Smaller EfW plants integrated at different levels of the urban environment minimise the transportation of waste and ensure local benefit maximization from community waste.

Webinar topics:

  • Supporting the move to a low carbon and circular economy - The role of decentralized WTE plants
  • UK RDF market - need to increase internal EfW capacity
  • WTE solutions based on ORC technology
  • Case studies and lesson learnt

UK must no longer simply bury or export the waste problem. Instead, as other European economies do, it should treat residual waste as a valuable resource to produce lower carbon heat and energy, alongside a focus on achieving important recycling targets and investing in innovative recycling technology.
